I really enjoyed that first video. It helps to see the process as it actually happens like that. I think its pretty amazing how our bodies can create and dissolve clots all by itself in such a short period of time because thats quite a complex process.
Vitamin K has so many health benefits and should definitely not be left out of your diet. Its benefits for bone maintainance and clotting make it one of the most important and most interesting vitamins for study.
I didn’t know blood clots have many different factors involved in the form process. Such as platelets, clotting factors, and fibrin and other cells such as red and white blood cells. Who knew there were phases to repairing wounds and vessels such as the platelets get stick to temporarily clog of the whole where the wound is. The second step is the clotting factors reinforce the platelets, the third step the fibrin acts like glue and holds the platelets together to form a blood clot, the fourth step the other clots support the clot.
According to the video, vitamin K stops the bleeding until you run out of blood and essential to the clotting factor in the blood. It is also important for bone growth and repair. It can be found in the liver. Vitamin K in leafy green vegetables, cheese and liver. Yuck liver, I guess I could make an exception since my blood depends on it.
Ive always associated Vitamin K with blood clotting. I didnt know that it did other stuff like helping with osteoporosis.
I didn’t know that it was involved with bone maintainance either.
I have not really heard of vitamin K before but I see now that it’s a healing agent. amazing enough it will stop bleeding so thank the Lord for vitamin K
because if we did not have this the we all would have lost so much blood that we would not be able to function if we were alive at all.

Hearing all this information on vitamins has really made me look closer at the foods and nutrients me and my family are getting. I didnt know that they all had some many areas that they help in
If the body absorbs the clot after the repair is finished, then why do we worry about clots in the leg going to the brain or heart?
I am just loving learning about vitamins. I have been so cavalier about the importance of getting my vitamins. I have been okay with just getting whatever vitamins were in my food. The only exception for me is when I was pregnant. I was dilegent about taking my vitamins then because it was extra for the baby. I knew I needed more or higher levels in order for him to grow properly but I guess I just do not think the same for myself.
I had blood clots in my lungs and heart when I was 16 and I remember that I wasn’t allowed to have things with vitamin K for a long time. Thats how I first learned about vitamin K and how it clots your blood. But vitamin K is really good for your and clots your blood in a good ways and is in lots of vegetables. I know I get a good serving of this vitamin since I eat tons of veggies!
I’m with you on this one I don’t think I’ll be missing out either because I love vegetables.
I always knew that this vitamin was important, but I didn’t realize how important. I am learning so much about vitamins and how important they are for our bodies. I knew they could help with clots but had no clue they could help with bone growth.

I didn’t realize how many foods were rich in Vitamin K. I was even more surprised that it plays a role in the blood clotting process. All the things it can do in the body amazes me.
I also didn’t realize how many foods contained Vitamin K. After watchin this video I learned of more foods that I may actually be able to eat and enjoy to get my dose of vitamin K.
I’ve heard of Vitamin K helping out in clots back in other classes but I didn’t know how much it helped in other areas such as bone growth. This vitamin is just an all around healing agent.

I never really heard any information about vitamin K until taking this class. It is a vitamin that plays a large role in our bone health. Since I am getting older, I have been looking into better ways to improve my health. Vitamin K is found in vegetables and liver. I have never liked liver , so I guess I will try and double up on my servings of vegetables. Vitamin K is something that I definitely will be finding more information about.
I too am going to be looking for more information on Vitamin K. I say that about every vitamin video we watch! Its all so interesting.
