Very informational video. I learned a lot of things from watching this video. I learned that the muscles of the esophagus move the bolus of food down your throat and into your stomach in a matter of 3 to 4 seconds! The stomach just churns and break down the food and there actually isn’t anything that is absorbed in your stomach!
22 Feet Long! I knew that the small intestine was long but I did not know it was that long!! Small intestine is not the right name for that organ at all!!
your right I had no idea the small intestines were that long. Wish they would have given the length or dimensions of the other organs such as the esophagus how wide is it
I agree, I learned a lot from this video, specially the hormones that the brain gives off to tell us we need food, or we have had enough.
I thought it was neat to learn about how the esophagus moves the food down. I always imagined it to just fall down. But no, the muscles move it down slowly.
I would hope it didn’t just fall down to your stomach that would be painful I would think.
Yes I thought it was a cool process to, to actually see it happen.
I always like to look a quick video that explains things. This was really helpful.
I think its neat that the muscles move it as slow as it does, which is why it takes so long to fully digest. But, this is the reason we can’t feel the food go down, unless it is a large quantity or something very hot or cold.
It is crazy how our bodies work. I never knew that muscles helped move food down slowly.
I agree, this video is super informative! I did not expect to hear anything I had never heard before. I’ve heard time and time again about starting the morning with lemon in water, but I did not know how it worked until watching this video. I love all of the natural, healthy and delicious tips.
I agree! I’ve taken a few anatomy classes but this video still taught me some things that I didn’t learn in the classroom!
I was always told to start the morning of with breakfast. If you don’t eat anything else always eat breakfast.
I also think I could of used this video during those classes. The way she broke it down was very understanding. When I signed up for this class , I was telling a few friends of mines that I didn’t understand why I would need it for nursing. The further we get into the different chapters and the more reading I’m doing I’m learning a lot of different things about the body that I never knew. Like, the small intestines being 22 feet long. If someone would of told me that with out me just watching this video I would of never believed it.
A lot of healthy and helpful tips. Now if if can just start getting into a more healthy mindset
Very true! We are so use to hearing the same old food break down stories from years ago. Its always great to hear something new and learn.
I’m pretty much in the same boat, I knew that water in general was important right when you get up and around in the morning, but never knew exactly the reasoning. I had no clue about having lemon with it though.
I know! It is crazy that it is 22 feet long!
22 feet long is hard to fathom, does not seem like there is enough room inside our bodies for 22 feet of intestines.
abane,
I agree. It’s refreshing to hear a fresh take on food; I especially enjoy how she explains why and why not. Knowing the reason behind what you’re doing is so important. That way, you’ll have a stronger understanding and be better equipped to make long standing life style changes.
22 ft is crazy! its amazing how skinny some people can be with 22 ft of intestines!
The weirdest thing to me is that despite the fact that it is 22 feet long, it still isn’t the largest organ. The skin is; which seems like a cop out, because obviously it has to be larger, it covers everything else. It’s amazing how our bodies were made.
I also think it’s crazy that it is 22 feet long and the way it fits perfectly inside you without cause trouble.
I agree with you in that I did not know that the small intestines is 22 feet long. I find it very interesting that a human person can have that long of a organ within the body.
It is amazing how all of our body parts are folded up just the right ways to neatly fit into their particular spaces!
That is crazy to me that the small intestines is 22 feet long! The more I learn about the human body it becomes more and more interesting to me.
That was a huge surprise to me also! Who would have thought that they were that long!
I agree who could have imagined that the digestive system was so complex. After watching the video I know understand more of what happens and why.
I agree with you as well.
I found these videos very interesting. I did not know that you were not suppose to mix grain with fruit. That’s the way its been done before time. Its the way a lot of us has come accustom t as well. I don’t think I could eat a piece of toast without jelly or jam. I also did not know that 16oz of water is the recommended amount instead of 8oz, because it seems as if every where they stress 8oz. I think its pretty cool that our small intestine is 22 feet long. I’m trying to figure out while is it called the small intestine, and how does it fit inside of us being that long. I wish the second video was a little bit longer because I would of like to hear her discuss more about over all health, because she seems to tell us about things we having been doing wrong for sometime, that we thought was the right way.
I did not know you were not suppose to mix grain and fruit either. I agree with you, I wish the second video would have been a little longer, I found it very interesting.
I didn’t realize that you weren’t suppose to mix grains and fruits either, that was a new fun fact.
Hello, RVillegas, now I understand why the need to eat fiber and drink more water. With that many feet for the small intestine it would take more water not to have problems moving digested food to the colon. If your not drinking it allows waste to just sit there.
I just started to understand this as well. I’ve always known that fiber helps your digestive system, but I wasn’t aware of the necessity to increase your fluid intake as well.
It’s strange to think that we all have that much inside of our abdomens.
I agree with this. I can’t believe we have all those organs and especially the 22 feet of small intestines in our body. It seems like it would need a lot more room.
its amazing what the human body can do. I had no clue the small intestine was that long.
The esophagus moving the food down our throat and into our stomach in 3 to 4 seconds is truly incredible! It is quite ironic that our small intestine is one of the largest organs in our body in terms of length.
You are so right! That is not the right name for the small intestine! I had no clue that it was 22 feet long, if someone would of told me that before I took the class, I wouldn’t of believed them
Yes I agree. I didn’t know the intestines were that long either.
It was indeed a very informative video! Food can travel very quickly through the body. It is very fascinating to see the process too.
Our bodies are so amazing. They work together to form this perfect machine. Who would have ever thought that saliva plays such an amazing role in helping us break down our food.
I never knew that the stomach didn’t absorb food either. It was interesting to learn how it breaks down food for the intestines.
I think it is both fascinating and disturbing to know that our small intestine not only carries our food through the digestive tract but is also as long as it is and still be inside of us.
Same here! I had no idea it was 22ft long. The small intestine is not a fitting name at all.
I believe its so crazy to think you have 22 feet of intestine in your stomach right now!!
I know! 22 ft long is crazy. The human body is so interesting.
These videos were very informative The first video was information that I remember from A&P but I wish I could have watched this video back then, because I am a visual person. So, this video would have really helped me out. The second video was also informative, especially about the fruits and grains. I did learn alot from this video.
This video would have been a major help to a lot of my A&P class as well as the second video, although the second video would of helped more with A&P2.
I am in A&P now and it is helping me a lot actually I have a quiz coming up that has some of this information on there.
Yes it would have helped a lot in A&P for me! I struggled with this a lot and ! should have watched this video.
I have yet to take A&P but when i do take it this will be very helpful and I am def going to book mark this for future use. Visual help to me is the best help of all.
It would have been very beneficial to have seen this video for A&P. I am a visual learner, & this video broke the digestive system down in their different parts & areas. This would have been a great way to learn the digestive system and retain what I saw.
I agree, I am currently in A&P 2 and I am watching this video for my Nutrition class. The digestive system is a couple of chapters away in A&P 2. Now I have a heads up on the basic concept.
I agree these videos are helping me in my A&P class to study for my upcoming tests.
i have taken A&P 1 and 2 already and these would have definitely helped in those classes
I plan on taking A&P next semester. thanks for the heads up 🙂
This is fantastic to know. I am currently taking A&P I right now, and I’m glad that there is going to be some carry over from class to class. This video really gave me an in depth idea of what is going on inside of our bodies as far as digestion goes. I couldn’t really mentally take it all in, but when I discussed it out loud to a friend, I was better able to conceptualize it.
I completely agree with the A&P part! I am A&P 2 right now and I believe that this will help me better understand when my class moves into the digestive system!
I to am taking A&P1 right now and wish I would’ve had these types of interactions during the nutrition part of the curriculum.
They must have switched the video since many of these comments were posted, because I didn’t find it to be graphic or disturbing in any way! I was prepared to be grossed out after reading the comments. Was very informative though. In the second video, I wished they had stressed more foods to eat to aid digestion along with suggesting the supplement.
It was really great to learn about simple changes in my diet that had such big effects on our body such as eating the combination of fruit and grains and the many parts of the digestive tract.
I agree completely. I learned things I didn’t even give a second thought about before.
I never thought about how much what we eat efects our digestive system
I agree, who would have though such small things could make such a big impact.
I definitely am interested in which probiotics the blonde woman suggested -health force and PB8. Yet, I had no idea you were supposed to keep them separate from food! Back when Smoothie King was in town, I actually had it added to my smoothie but obviously that made the pill useless! This was my favorite video.
It’s good to know this information now. I didn’t know that you was suppose to take probiotics without food. This video was very helpful. I didn’t know that the food would absorb the pill and that your digestive system was needing that life in it to keep it from hurting.
I agree. I too did not know you were suppose to take probiotics without food.
I found it very interesting that putting grains and fruit together actually messes up your digestive track. I will definitely use that tip from now on when eating toast or oatmeal. I actually drink lemon water every morning when I wake up, and I have noticed a ton of difference in my digestion. I love hearing again that I am doing the right thing. Very interesting 6 minutes for sure!
I’ve always put fruits and grains together since I was a kid! It was a total shocker to me as well. I’m for sure going to see how it changes my digestive system.
I found that very interesting and surprising as well about the fruit and grains! My mom swears by lemon water and now I have some confirmation that it really does help with digestion. I produce a lot of acid in my stomach and she tells me that drinking lemon water can reduce that acid. I loved the video as well. I will definitely try to drink more lemon juice in my water now.
22 feet!! Are you serious I just cant imagine how it fits. This video will come in handy when I get to this part in A&P.
My sister is a health food junkie and told me to eat my fruit with my grains because it was healthier. So this video was an eye opener for me! I will be separating my grains and fruit from now on!
I used to eat jelly on my toast in the mornings, which I didn’t know you weren’t supposed to do, and I’ve actually gotten to where I eat my toast with peanut butter even before watching this video. I’ve always heard that lemon water is really good for you, but I’ve never particularly liked it. I might have to give it a try, though.
I did not know that putting grains and flirt together messed up your digestive track, either. I always thought it was okay to do. My girlfriend drinks lemon water every day, also and she says it has helped her so much
I will say that fruit is not very fruitful in my diet. I find it hard to pair with meals.
I also found it very intersting that grains and fruit are not supposed to be eaten together. I love grains and fruit! But I wont be eating them together anymore. The lemon water in the morning this is one of the things i really wanted to try, Im glad to know it actually works.
Water is also a very important key in digestion.
yes it is!!!
1-3 bowl movements usually means your body is digesting properly.
Plenty of dietary fiber is necessary for proper digestion.
Well to start with can I just give an Ernest P. Worrell ~ “Eww~WWW~ww~!!” XD ♥♥♥ 12 hr 13 min journey to the Great Beyond~!! The video was very informative -and graphic- but certainly interesting~!! 😉 I thought the bit about the pancreas neutralizing the stomach acid was cool, something that I didn’t already know~!!
I just think the entire digestive process is amazing. The fact that our bodies extract every nutrient it can possibly use from food is pretty astounding.
It is just still a mystery that can’t be put together when you look at how the process of digestion takes places from one region to another.
I agree! I always enjoy learning and seeing how all of the systems in the body works. It’s so amazing!
the body is an awesome machine. very cool to learn and understand.
I think it is great that our body takes all the nutrient it can from the food because sometimes we don’t eat what we should all the time and need all we can get.
I think its pretty amazing too! I’m learning so much from these videos!
Sheena Burrow
Learning how the body works is like learning how a car works everything has a purpose but figuring it how it works together is very interesting.
WOW! That was awesome to watch how digestion looks from the inside!
Lol, ikr~?!! Tho~ I feel real sorry for the baby girl, she gets to be the poster child for the digestive system for the rest of her life~!! XD ♥♥♥
I loved this video. It was very interesting and the information was helpful. I didnt think digestion took that long but its good to know all the steps and how certain foods affect digestion.
I agree I did not think digestion took that long but is very helpful to know that now. I thought it was cool as well how food affects digestion.
I loved the video as well! Its interesting how long digestion takes depending on what we eat.
I new dairy could show things down but had no idea that other foods could have similar reactions.
Woah! Very graphic video but also extremely interesting. I had my own idea of how food was broken down from what i’ve learned in some other courses, but i’m glad to watch this video so I could see exactly how it works. I’ve never known how the food enters the stomach, great to see a video that has the detailed camera so I can actually visualize the process.
I agree it was cool to see it from the inside.makes me understand the digestion process so much clearer now
For sure. This video is very informative on how the digestive system works.
I wish I would have read the “This video is very graphic!” at the top of the video before watching it after I had just got done eating -_-
Besides finding myself gag throughout the video, I found it very interesting, I am aware of the digestion process however I have never seen a video of how food goes through digestion in our body so it was definitely something interesting to watch.
It’s not so bad!! I do agree it was very interesting though. How cool is it that the process starts when we just smell food!!
It was really cool being able to see how the body digests the food from beginning to end. This was an interesting and informative video.
This video was great! A little graphic to watch while eating, but very informative. It really makes you think about the nutrients we put into our bodies and the long process it goes through. I had no idea that there were so many steps to digestion.
I found the video very interesting, didn’t know it took 12 hours to pass thru the stomach and into the gut.
Also, it was a great refresher for me because I learned this stuff when I took Nursing classes.
I didn’t know it took that long either. I always thought it took much less time. But after learning how many steps there are in digestion, it makes sense for it to take hours.
I had no idea food was broken down like that!
This video was disgusting. I am very surprised that it takes a full 12 hours for your food to complexly digest. Its good to know how the digestive system actually works.
Both videos were informative. I, for one, have a hard time eating heaving in the morning after rising from bed. It’s like my system is still trying to wake up. I tend to not eat about 4 hours before getting in bed but I might have a carrot or celery stick just to keep my metabolism burning strong once I get in bed. I usually eat breakfast but that might consist of a low carb peach smootie or greek yogurt just to keep me from feeling bloated or have a very full feeling which makes me tired again.
WOW! How interesting on how your body works just to digest food! and 12 hours to complete. And eating fruits with grain, oh my! I had no idea.
I agree with you, this video was simply “wow!”.
I had no idea either about the fruits and grains. That was very informative.
I have trouble with the fact that i have been doing toast wrong all my life
I really like how they broke down the digestion process. It showed it in such detail that how can there still be any confusion. I have a friend who has diverticulitis that I am going to turn on to this site and videos. I think it could help her out.
Yes, the videos really are good and I think breaking everything down and showing it in detail is a great way to learn and teach about our bodies and how it reacts to what we eat. I have a dear friend who has Crohn’s disease and he will like this video as well.
First of all….this was disgusting. I was not expecting that. I completely missed the “this video is very graphic” warning at the top. I don’t think I can eat lunch now. Just by watching this, I now will chew my food an outrageous amount of time and eat some fiber. This really put into perspective what happens inside our bodies. How can we not want to put the most effective and healthy foods in our bodies?? Yikes! This video was crazy, but very informative.
I agree that this video was disgusting, but very informative!
OMG! I am so glad I wasn’t the only one who did not see that! Great video after all!
I live with a spouse that has suffered from Crohn’s disease for many years now. Its not always easy to make the right choices when it comes to food but it has helped the entire family to be more conscientious regarding the foods that we buy to bring into the house or the restaurants that we choose to go to. Its simply something that we live with not just her. We are in this together.
I know a few people with Crohn’s disease. They definitely tell me about how much more difficult it is for them to grab a “quick meal” and that they know anytime they eat something they shouldn’t they can’t just brush it off and say “Oh well, I’ll do better tomorrow.” Because that’s not going to work for them, they will actually have to face the consequences.
I enjoyed both videos. The first one however was a little graphic, considering I am trying to eat my lunch. I had no idea that you shouldn’t eat fruits with grains. I have been eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich my entire life, but that would explain why I don’t always feel great after I eat it. I think I need to drink more water! I want to try the water with lemon in the mornings before I get out of bed. That sounds very cool to me.
I also have the problem of often having an upset stomach after I eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but I guess that makes sense now that we learned that fruits and grains should not be mixed together. I also agree with you completely that drinking more water is key in the digestion process. I have noticed that I have felt much better when I stay hydrated, which includes not only drinking water, but also avoiding drinks (like sodas) that cause you to dehydrate faster.
I didn’t think peanut butter and jelly was that bad until I watched this.
I’m just glad that i can still have peanut butter and honey.
Whoa! I was shocked. I will never think of digestion or dairy for that matter the same. This video was very detailed and informative however a little to graphic for my taste.
The body is sure fascinating and it’s processes. Very helpful information although i did not enjoy the video.
I agree with that the human body is pretty amazing. It’s still kind of hard to believe that the human body can preform all of these processes.
I thought that both videos were very good. The second one was helpful in the way of telling people how they can be healthier. Great tips!
I found this video very disturbing yet interesting. Seeing the camera take you all the way through the digestive tract was eye opening. I have a problem eating my food to fast and the fact that I need to drink more water. I am going to change my ways. I am going to try all the tricks and see if it works!
The first video was very graphic, but I liked it, because I had always wondered how the digestive process happened. I never imagined it looked like that. I’m going to start drinking lemon water in the mornings, I love lemon water I could do that everyday no doubt.
The first video was absolutely disgusting! But since I have bad stomach aches, I am going to try to avoid eating late and adding in yogurt.
The first video was very intense. I have always wondered how the digestion worked but never imagined it was anything like that. I was shocked. Both videos was very helpful and they gave alot of information. The second was very helpful. I am not one that likes the taste of water, but now I filter it and it has improved my water drinking.
I do not like the taste of water either! I have a hard time drinking a cup much less 8, but adding lemon to it can help me to get more water.
One problem I think I have with digestion is that I eat extremely to fast especially when I’m hungry. So I know that my food is not being chewed well. I drink water frequently during the day but I know for a fact it’s not eight cups. Late night meals attack me too. I know this is the reason I keep a lot of heart burn and indigestion.
i have the problem of eating fast as well i was in the navy and we only have a few minutes to eat and now I’m on a fire dept. never knowing when the call is going to come in i still eat fast.
I don’t have a weak stomach but I almost could not watch this video although it was kind of interesting it had a lot of good tips.
this video was very helpful in understanding digestion, unfortunately I shouldnt have been eating anything while watching this….
I was really impressed with the digestive video. I personally deal with stomach issues and it is crazy to think all that we eat goes through that process. Not to mention it takes 12 hours! I also thought the fruit and grain mixture was interesting because i had never heard of that. Now i know! The last thing i found really interesting was the warm temperature water and lemon right as you wake up to kick your metabolism into action! I truly would like to try these tricks to see if it helps with my digestive problems.
so would I. I have saved this video and will discuss it with my doctor to see if this will possibly be better than taking a pill!
Our bodies are so complex. I was also interested to learn that warm temperature water and lemon right as you wake up will start your metabolism. I will start this immediately.
I found the tips about not combining fruit and grain and drinking water with lemon first thing in the morning interesting. I love water but I don’t really like lemon in it but maybe I should try it.
It was interesting to see the process of digestion as it occurs.
I like fruit with my oatmeal, I like peanut butter and grape jelly on bread or toast.
I like bananas on cereal and apple slices on waffles. All seem to be bad choices.
i know, they cut out half of the way i like to eat stuff. nothing better than a PB and J sandwich which is obviously not good. I do like PB and honey so maybe I can switch to that.
Personally, I was surprised to learn that the complete digestion process takes about 12 hours! As for the digestion tips, I think they are definitely something to keep in mind! Most people don’t think that digestive health is important until they have digestive problems. These tips could be used as a preventative method to avoid digestive troubles, maybe.
I was too. I see some people eat and go straight to the bathroom. Makes me wonder if they are getting the proper nutrition that the food provides.
I always wondered too about those that eat then head straight the bathroom.
Wow I thought this video was great! It had really good detail and picturing! I thought it was cool to see the body process!
The digestive system video was very educational. The other video was interesting. My suggestion for breakfast is a green smoothie. There are many different recipes available online. I am definitely going to start the 16 ounces of water with added lemon first thing in the morning.
I love water with lemon so that wouldn’t be hard for me! I would like to try out a green smoothie for breakfast!
i love drinking water but i have a problem with the lemon think i will have to pass on that
WOW I really enjoyed these videos! I thought it was amazing to see how the body digests! I have heard many times about not mixing fruit with grains. I dont think many people really worry about the digestive part of dieting so people disagree with this. I agree and as a strong dieter and nutrition major I definately agree and definately eat following this rule! I will also try out the upgrades she showed!
I definitely agree with you on this. The digestion process is just as important part of dieting as what you put in your body.
The journey of the digestive system kind of looked like an alien movie I once saw HA HA. But it was very interesting how things work. The video on digestive tips was very interesting I didn’t know that you should not put fruit with grains I think everyone does this personally I like the peanut butter and honey on my whole grain toast.
I agree with you, you wouldn’t think that you couldn’t pick fruits with grains. I believe it tastes better like that.
I also did not know not to mix fruit and grains! I really would have never guessed that that can cause stomach issues.
I felt the same way when watching the tutorial on digestion. I also put honey and peanut butter together just seems healthier.
The fruit and grains statement was a surprise to me. I guess I’ll have to stop putting fruits on my PB sandwiches.
That was intense but really good information. What better way to understand how food is broken down virtually like I said it was intense but I made it through.
I agree this video was extremely graphic but, it is an excellent insight to show precisely what goes on in the digestive tract. In the beginning I really wanted to gag but I held it together. The part about stomach ulcers shocked me. As a kid, I had stomach ulcers from time to time but i didn’t know that that cause was because of lack of mucus as well as stomach acid.
I agree at first I wanted to gag I almost could not finish watching but it was interesting its always good to learn about our bodies
It was very interesting. But I agree it was very intense. After watching, it makes me not want to eat. I have always wondered how it all worked. It is amazing.
the second time around watching this video wasn’t as bad. I’m amazed at how our bodies work!
I agree completely. I actually enjoyed going through the entire process with the video. I am more of a visual person, so it was really helpful to put both name and structure together.
I personally don’t think that humans ingesting cow’s milk is natural. I mean, nature intended our bodies to be tailored to consume breast milk. When I think about drinking cow’s milk, (which I don’t really drink it, I do eat it in foods though) it sort of makes my stomach turn. I agree with the Band-Aid fix. Maybe our bodies just aren’t meant to consume these things or maybe there is an underlying problem. I know with Gastroparesis and SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth) carbohydrates make it ALOT worse because when you ingest carbs, the excessive number of bacteria feed off of the sugars causing mal-absorption of nutrients and excessive gas, bloating, cramping, etc. I know that there are many issues that dairy products could very well make worse.
I agree with both you and the video, however I don’t know exactly where I stand on dairy. We as humans happen to be (I believe) the only animal that consumes dairy after we have completed breast feeding. This arises a concern to me. I can tell you that most of my dairy comes from cheese (not the American misconception of cheese) real cheese. the kind most people would throw from their fridge before they smelled of it. I am curios that she didn’t mention much about this. I don’t feel that every one who is lactose intolerant, is really diagnosed properly. I feel that that has become more of a “Band-Aid fix” than a diagnosis. Can any of you touch on this?

Wow! I actually felt like people were going to defend dairy. I appriciate that we share the same stance on the topic.
I had never thought of the fact that we’re the only ones who consume dairy after breast feeding is over. This is definitely going to stimulate some research on my part, because I love me some milk and so do my kids. I’m just thankful we’re not lactose intolerant.
I thought that was interesting to! I don’t care for milk at all I know kids that stopped drinking milk all together after they were breastfed.
I agree with you on the diagnosis of lactose intolerance. There are several factors that could cause the same symptoms for a person diagnosed with lactose intolerance that may not be found because a DR just labeled them with a dairy allergy. I have seen case studies about people who were said to be lactose intolerant and later to be diagnosed with stomach or intestinal cancer by a second opinion. It seems as though some Doctors would rather “Band-Aid” a situation then actually looking for the real problem. Stomach cramps and IBS are not only caused by dairy allergies and should be looked upon differently.
I have been recently diagnosed with Lactose Intolerance, which I think is completely wrong because I have been drinking milk for as long as I can remember and it is only recently that dairy has given me issues. Do you know what 2 doctors have told me when I try and explain this to them? “Well then just don’t eat or drink dairy” Wow…really? Thanks so much! I could have stomach ulcers and all you want to tell me is to stop drinking milk. Lactose Intolerance is most definitely a band-aid diagnosis.
my son is a vegan and he says that all humans are lactose intolerant. sorry to hear that, I would find another doctor.
I thought this video was awesome! I really liked that they had an endoscope going through the intestines and stomach. I suffer from Gastroparesis which is a condition where the peristalsis of the stomach and intestine is hindered due to damage of the vagus nerve. The bad thing that comes with that is it makes my blood sugars very unstable and I don’t get good nutrient absorption. It has also caused me to develop SIBO (small intestine bacteria overgrowth) and that comes with all other sorts of issues. I wish I could have a camera sent into my digestion system to see what it looks like in there. I bet it’s pretty scary.
very great tips for the fruits and grains that will help your digestion. Drinking plenty of water is very heplful in digestion as well as good for you. I agree with eating yoguart, it is very helpful.
I have a close family member that has irritable bowel syndrome. I immediately shared the tips from the second video with her. Some of them were familiar, but others were new or forgotten. She has taken the advice offered and is doing better. Two of the big ones she is doing again is not combining fruits with grains and eating yogurt.
Seems as though yogurt does help some with digestion, but the grains make me sick, even if recommended
I have drank more water recently and I can tell a difference in my digestive system and just overall health, it is so important!
Water is so beneficial to our diets. I completely cut sodas 3 months ago. I went from drinking absolutely nothing but sodas every day to drinking all water with maybe 1 cup of coffee or 1 glass of milk a day. I have noticed so many changes in my health, including my digestive health!
I cut out sodas completely 2 years ago. I only drink water and I will have a cup of milk a day. I feel better and I am able to eat my calories instead of drink them.
I have tried to cut sodas completely but that didn’t work for me, but I did however limit them until I finally did quit. Now I drink mostly water or tea. I trying to cut the tea out now.
Y’all are strong! Ive tried so hard to cut sodas out of my diet but just cannot do it. I always cave at the thought of a dr. pepper! If you guys have any tips for me – please let me know!
I was eating mashed potatoes while watching this…………
Bad idea to eat and watch this video, however it was very informative
Were you able to finish them since it looks like mashed potatoes at one point?
once you’ve worked in the health care field long enough nothing really bothers you to much.
yes i was and it was delicious haha
I was thinking the very same thing! It is very informative but I am very glad I wasn’t eating while watching this! I am planning on becoming a nurse however, things that are gross still make my appetite disappear for awhile!
