MyPyramid: Pass It On

Teens discover how the USDAs MyPyramid shows them how to eat for energy, control their calories and add physical activity to their daily routines. Students also go to the MyPyramid Web site where they find their personal eating plans for their age, gender, size and activity level. I really like the “my pyramid.” I think it could help alot of people, by letting them know what they need to be eating to help stay healthy

I didn’t know the food pyramid looked was diagional now in regards to the porpotions of food groups that are supposed to be eaten. I like the way the video breaks down who the best/healthier foods to be eaten are in the wider portion of the pyramid. I also like the reasoning for the person “running up the pyramid” which basically meant that physical activity is required. This a very informative video.

I would rate this video a 3 out of 5. It was interesting but it did not go into enough detail.

I think it everyone picks things that they like that go hand-in-hand with the pyramid, it can work.

I do believe that if each person did their own it would be more personal and maybe help people stick to it. I rate this video a 4 out of 5

That chart was pretty neat. I like how it was color coordinated and the size of each column was for how much you should have a day. I think that would be a good way for people to learn what they should and should not eat, especially if it was being used to teach younger children.

I like the “My Pyramid” Idea I think that it would help people to stick to a healthy diet if they feel that it’s just for them.
I have also learned what the different colors on there mean.

I agree. The pyramid is easy to understand and more teens will try to follow it. The dietary guidelines are good examples and if we practice we could all be healthier.
