The rye bread part was the most suprising to me because in the previous vidoes, one said there is no cure then this one claims to reverse it, I think I might get my dad to be a guinnea pig for me!!

I agree, i never knew that rye bread can reverse diabetes.

kwalker1209 November 4, 2015 at 10:01 pm

Diabetes can be controlled well enough that it seems you are disease free. It all is a reflection of how you eat, what you eat, and when you eat. The reason it is not a technical cure is because these diet like plans can not be started and then stopped. You have to maintain a good eating habit in order to keep the disease at bay.

Reply

JessyM July 25, 2016 at 12:41 pm

I totally agree! lifetime diet changes and monitoring properly can help this disease seem to go away! It is change for the rest of your life, and can be the key to keeping it at bay.

EPUGH November 1, 2016 at 3:13 pm

That is what I was thinking as well. It is not like after enough time of eating right you are cured and can start eating and doing whatever you like. It is a lifestyle change that you can make to avoid having any complications medically. Like having a gluten free diet. It helps the symptoms and its necessary.

Jgaines November 2, 2016 at 2:22 pm

I 100% agree. Diabetes never goes away, its just about how well a person manages their daily habits.

Angelena essary November 8, 2016 at 9:24 pm

I do think if your diet is right you can control the disease and not let it ruin or control your life,

bburks April 11, 2017 at 5:38 pm

Even if you don’t have diabetes it is important to maintain that kind of lifestyle.

bcox2 April 11, 2018 at 2:35 pm

I have said this before but it seems that people dont understand i have type 1 diabetes and i have asked my doctor numerous time and yes eating regularly times is a good idea but it all depends on giving insulin for what you eat that what it comes down too.

emartinez1 April 11, 2018 at 10:31 pm

I completely agree. People tend to just keep a regulated diet for only a period of time. They don’t realize that they need to keep a good diet for their whole life for them not to have a chronic disease.

LSB62 April 11, 2018 at 10:47 pm

Of course it can be controlled, but its up to the person to want to control it. I watched my grandma struggle wit diabetes for years and some days she would eat what she was suppose to and medicate herself properly and some days she would eat what she wanted regardless.

ssmith0817 April 12, 2018 at 6:53 pm

Not all diabetes cases are easily controlled with diet. My mom has been a diabetic her whole life and has eaten a clean healthy diet plan provided by her doctors and nutritionists ever since I can remember, it did help to make it easier on her but her levels were almost never right or easily controlled with just diet.

sburris4 April 12, 2018 at 10:26 pm

I agree that you can make the disease more bearable to live with but it will truly never go away. It can help if you know how to live with it and not let it constantly get in the way of your goals,

Kfalcone July 17, 2018 at 5:10 pm

I totally agree. I do believe that it can be manageable if you get the right treatment for your type.

cnitch1 November 5, 2018 at 8:11 pm

I agree! Lifetime changes in diet and lifestyle are vital to controlling and managing your diabetes.

mhall14 December 2, 2018 at 1:48 am

You are absolutely right. If you manage your heath and eat a healthy diet, diabetes is very manageable. If you eat whatever you want and don’t watch your weight, you are just making the disease worse.

Jicaldw October 11, 2019 at 11:58 pm

I am going to recommend this to my dad. But even if a person eats alot of rye bread/pasta i still think it’s a smart idea to monitor yourself with diabetes.

cnix March 24, 2022 at 4:54 pm

There is no cure for Type one diabetes. No matter how well or poor they eat their circumstances will stay the same.

Amber Newman April 8, 2016 at 12:00 pm

I agree, the fact that this claimed rye bread reversed it when another video said there was no cure was surprising.

Reply

DHarrington July 22, 2016 at 6:57 pm

Most people do not realize the effects of high blood pressure on the body. I thought the first video does a great job of going into the different conditions that high blood pressure can cause in the body. I see many of these at my job everyday. working on the cardiac and renal floor. several of our patients come in because they stopped taking their medications including those for blood pressure and have complications because of this. showing them a video like the first one might change their mind on taking a pill everyday.

Reply

lmehalic April 22, 2018 at 10:49 am

I agree. I think they also don’t understand that once they’ve stopped taking those medications that damage has actually been done making them more prone to stroke, heart attack, etc.

Reply

Koon KR November 7, 2011 at 10:07 am

I really liked the first video because I have hypertension so seeing what it does to my body just makes me want to correct it even more. I have to loose weight inorder to correct it is what my doctor told me so after seeing this I believe I will be working out even more now.

I really should stop saying I’m going to make lifestyle changes and I should actually do it. I have high blood pressure and I’m over weight. Major changes need to happen. I didn’t know that there was any reversal for diabetes either, seems almost false just because I’ve never heard such a thing.

Reply

alec_young2 July 22, 2016 at 4:51 pm

It is a very good thing that you realize that lifestyle changes can be a total game changer in lowering your high blood pressure. Many people fail to realize that unhealthy habits are such a primary cause for hypertension, and that is why it continues to get worse over time. But I believe that you can do what it takes to make these changes happen and lower your blood pressure significantly! I wish you the best of luck!

Jodie Hammonds April 11, 2018 at 1:37 am

Thank you for your well wishes, may the same be blessed upon you! Personally, I have never related hypertension to diabetes, although I have not been diagnosed with either disease. The risk for both diseases is high hierarchically in my case. I am grateful to be armed with information that may help me overcome the odds.

The diet , whole foods diet, is an amen to the DVD I watched except for the proteins and oils. The news of Rye seems so simple that it just doesn’t make sense that we are only hearing of this in class. What a change this information could make on our general population but it would be a death sentence for the fast food chains.
Stress control was once again encouraged.
My choices directly affect my overall health.

I have only ever had high blood pressure when I was pregnant with my boys. Now that not to say when I get stressed or upset that it may not temporarily become high. I think the main thing is to eat properly and exercise to help prevent hypertension and even worse type II diabetes. Our fast society of today makes it so easy to eat unhealthy but with the big health wave they are creating small packaged foods that are a healthier solution. I do no0t think we would know what to do without a McDonalds on every corner. My son is twenty one years old and he has high blood pressure and hypertension. This is truly a scary thought that our youth of today are growing up more and unhealthier. He takes medication but I stress to him that a diet and lifestyle change may help a lot more that the meds.

With this kind of work going on I can understand how Hypertension can be such a major problem. Herridity and diet all play rolls in how severely our blood pressure problens can be as well as being overweight.

Rye turns off all the genes that cause diabeties. How awesome! What I found new was that there are so many people walking about with pre-diabeties. I would think that the doctors office should be checking this like on a yearly basis at a checkup at the very least. Again omega 3 comes into play. Rye Bread and pasta reversing diabetes? That sounds weird. But I’ve never had high blodd pressure and never intend to! I’m thankful for my body as well. I’m really healthy, which is a blessing. I think from watching all of these videos, it shoud be a real eye-opener to how amazing and complex we have been made.

I wonder what could be taken for a person with celiac disease?

I am so greatfull for my body. I don’t see how someone could believe that we just evolved because our bodys are so complex and wonderfully made.
I did not know tho that diabetes could be reversed by eating rye bread and rye pasta thats wild. I like the idea of the colors of the rainbow too.

I completely agree you said. “Eat the rainbow” would be a great way to get kids to try new foods.

I have watched many documentaries on how a Whole Foods diet has reversed many diseases such as diabetes.

I agree completely there about getting the info out to the rest of the people in the world. Only a small amount of changes need to be made in some and those things can go along way.

Ok so earlier this summer I took a nursing class at Henderson and we practiced taking BP. My blood pressure is high, I’m a borderline Hypertension. Granted I’m not as healthy as a used to be but even before now I’ve always had High bp. Even as a little kid my BP would run high. My oncologist told me I might just have a naturally high bp. That is also crazy about rye bread and pasta. Why are we just now hearing about this? Can someone please tell these people to get this information out there. This is huge it could make a bunch of peoples lives better.

I know! You would think that as health conscious as this nation is this would be a major breakthrough!

I hadn’t heard about the rye bread and pasta either. Why is there so much information we aren’t hearing?

JHR July 29, 2010 at 2:32 pm

Why are these things not broadcast all over the nation!!!!! So many people could be helped! What’s the hold up

Beth McRaven July 21, 2010 at 12:40 pm

No doubt! The media is too busy reporting on Tiger, Sandra and let’s don’t forget Lindsey. This type of information should start off the news and be in bold print. I suppose this is why they have Health magazines but none the less it seems news worthy to us!!

very true if the media spent as much time covering health issues as they did gossip people would be healthier and happier.

I agree maybe they should inform the world with this information during the super bowel. Then pizza restaurants would probably come out with a rye bread crust to promote good health. Well at least as a way of making people think they care and are really trying to give us good food fast.

If a pizza restaurant does rye bread crust I am pretty sure my husband would be the first one to buy it. He tries everything people tell him to try to get rid of diabetes.

I know that some people do just have naturally high blood pressure and some people are inclined to have lower blood pressure all the time. You just have to be aware that you may be put at a higher risk for certain medical conditions.

Now some people do have higher pressure naturally. Everyone’s anatomy isn’t the same. On top of the metrics for a lot aren’t made for black and brown people. 120/80 is not the baseline for everyone. For me 118/74 is high for me. I’m 5’2 and 126 pounds athletic build.

I feel like if everyone monitored their pressure over a week they would know what their baseline is. Then they could coordinate care with their providers.

It’s amazing how little information is shared with patients about natural healers in FOOD!

I have never heard of this either! You would think if this worked it would be huge news and everyone talking about it. I think would change people’s lives as well.
